attention:

to the 5 readers i may or may not have:

i have joined the tumblr world! join me! follow me! or don't. it doesn't matter. just trying to explain my possible impending (is that an oxymoron?) blogspot absence.

this is big!

via amazon

KINDLE FOR BLACKBERRY APP! and with free kindle books everywhere, this is an exciting new development... despite the fact that blackberrys have much smaller screens than the actual kindle, blah blah blah. now, waiting around will be slightly more bearable with a mini book in my berry.

greetings!

this may or may not be the trillionth time someone has thought of this, but sometimes i wonder if holidays were created so there would be something to look forward to every month. otherwise, what a possibly monotonous existence it would be, right (i'm being slightly sarcastic)?

on that note:

happy valentine's day!

a pointless post

a word of warning: never shop online past 1 AM, because your judgement may be impaired.

anyway, i couldn't sleep last night, so i bought this!

i was wrought with the idea that i will be missing the LOST series premiere/finale and will not be able to watch it for a few days, meaning much talk and speculation about said episode and future events. so what better way to ignore them all than by playing this (reading, eating, sleeping, job hunting also come to mind but nahhh)?!

i had it years ago when i was still "a pc" but now that i've been "a mac" for like 5 years, i suddenly had the urge to control my made-up destiny. maybe this will inspire me in real life. i wanted to go big and go for sims 3 but bad reviews revolved around the idea that it will crash your computer. since i'm fresh out of college and am trying to put those days of sudden laptop failure out of my mind, i opted to control myself and go for the $20 version. woop!

i also bought over-the-knee boots. will i keep them? only time (and practicality) will tell.

fast-forward, please

last night, i got gary to shake on (which is essentially a binding oath that lasts a lifetime, right?) the notion that when he reaches his late 50's-60's, he will start looking and dressing like ted danson. it may sound odd, but 1, redheads don't grey - their hair turns white, and 2, the style icon he mentioned was colonel sanders. i guess if you think about it, would it be so bad to modernize the old southern legend? sipping sweet tea on the porch of a colonial home*? i don't think so.

now, if only i could create elaborate plans for the present...

i bought it!

did that remind you of the destiny's child song? no?

in the month of december, i managed to:
- work roughly 26 days of the month
- fall asleep before 11pm on a near-nightly basis (sometimes while sitting upright)
- come "home" to a roaring fireplace next to a decorated tree and christmas music playing
- receive a number of hello kitty-themed gifts
- buy love: blackberry bold 9700

in the month of january, i have managed to:
- go on a mini-vacation stemming from gary's annual new year's show in SD
- get sick of my job and resolve to get a real one in 2010

we'll see how that goes, but i need it. i really, really do.

my birthday wishlist

in a perfect world, wishlists would be fulfilled and birthdays would be celebrated with bright and shiny, perfectly-wrapped gifts with large bows, tons of balloons, and of course - friends and family. except i live in the real world and do not plan on, nor am i eligible to be on mtv's sweet 16 so that will never happen. but a girl can dream! with that said, here's a peek into my not-so-secret dream wishlist (that i will probably end up fulfilling on my own):

blackberry bold 9700 (at&t)

leopard print tory burch "reva" flat (nordstrom)

elizabeth & james "jade" sandal (nordstrom)

marc by marc jacobs bow necklace (nordstrom)

a wire "linda" name ring (some crazy guy on the venice boardwalk)

or a two-finger name ring

...i'm tired. i have wishlists on 80's purple and urban that i just remembered... but i'm over it.

UPDATE: i just discovered the joys of amazon's universal wishlist... see mine here!
