a completely irrelevant story

not too long ago, the mailman came and rang my doorbell, which meant he had a package.

my first reaction was, oh shit! i need to go get the door before he leaves with it.
my second thought was, oh shit! i don't have any pants on.
my third thought was to find something to put on quickly before the mailman left but in the abyss that is my room and with the fisheye view you get when you're trying to find one thing but all you can focus on is everything else, all i could see were shirts.
my fourth thought was to somehow get his attention (even though my window was open and i contemplated yelling, "WAIT!") without exposing myself. though i suppose that would've gotten his attention anyway.

in the meantime, my adrenaline was pumping because i love getting packages, especially when i'm not expecting them, and it made me that much more clumsy.

i ended up grabbing a pair of shorts, opened the door slightly and hiding behind it (without them on) and said, "HI." he looked a little confused, said hi back and walked away. the package was under the mat. and it wasn't even for me.

i don't expect anyone to get anything i'm saying

i'm slowly finding out that it's a small world, and getting smaller. pretty soon, all these different worlds around me will turn into one big one and all these people i thought had nothing to do with me will be a part of my life and it'll be that much easier to adapt.

vague vague vague.

friday begins my weekend of anxiety. school starts in one week and i need to make sense of all the future plans floating around in conversation. one of my favorites: san francisco in the winter! one of my least: new years in san diego. i also completely forgot that the fine print says something along the lines of: "guys' night out in vegas is allowed." and so it is. but damn, do i love vegas.

speaking of 21: 2+ months and it's on. i can hardly contain myself. i really need to go to sleep.

a 4 month hiatus from the real world

sometimes i forget i have this thing. although i still have a little over two weeks left, i can honestly say this summer ranks in the top two in my two decades of living. and i have lived. even the occasional bout of my quarter life crisis couldn't bring me down. going back to school is gonna be a rude awakening, but... the bubble has to pop sometime.

until then, i'm green-lighting all kinds of shenanigans.
get busy, stay busy.

ps. i updated my layout and it won't let me put my music player back on my blog. so here's a link to said playlist and check my last.fm for new songs bc i haven't updated it in months and don't plan on it.
