disclaimer: i get kind of aggressive at shows regardless of who is playing because my aversion for inconsiderate people comes out in full effect (and my height deficiency as an inconvenience is made very evident).
take tonight for example: melissa and i went to go see tokyo police club at the troubadour with we barbarians and eagle seagull, which was actually the best show i've been to in a really long time, but so it goes, we almost got into a fight with two wastoids.
long story short: two guys attempt to nudge their way to the front during a song, some girls get super pissed and rip them a new one, guys retreat and try their luck a second time except with us, we weren't having any of it, there is pushing and shoving and lots of dialogue and threatening body language (i.e. f-bombs and optic daggers), guys "back off", one guy dribbles beer down his chin, drips on melissa's hair/back/my hair/my back, pretends like it was an accident, melissa grabs his bottle and is about to break it on his head, i am ready to punch him in the face, guy drinks the rest of his beer and pretends like nothing happened/retreats, i am REALLY ready to punch him in the face, he tells me to turn around and i tell him to f off. all while his partner in crime is just standing there like a little bitch.
cursing is such a terribly unattractive habit but tonight really warranted it. if that dipped into my reserve, so be it. those guys really summed "it" up - whatever "it" is (douchebaggery?)/i don't know, but they done did it.
ps. melissa swore too. oooh, did she ever.
pps. dave drew godzilla on my poster. i think i'm in love.

i'm always so thirsty.
what i really want: to travel to Anywhere, Everywhere and to finish up the roll on my supersampler so i can finally develop it a year later. maybe i'll retrieve some pictures from "the hike".
i'm still so fixated on that day... maybe because it was quite possibly the best and worst day of my life.
the scary thing about that is that i'm not exaggerating.
i just want to be a part of something big. bigger than this, bigger than me, you, and this whole damn town.

project playlist
first last.fm, then imeem, now project playlist. now you can listen to whatever i feel like listening to at the moment, and probably at the same time.
i'm so exhausted yet unable to sleep that there's a chance that i fall asleep for a split second every time i blink.
i want to go on a trip so badly right now, i can taste it. and i think i taste montaƱa de oro.

anxiety level: red
LAST NIGHT: inventory till 12:15am, which is actually really early considering the store is two stories high and packed to the gills with clothing. i hate to say it, but scan guns are kind of fun when you get to make i-robot jokes, scan body parts and say "ERROR: TOO SEXY", and get real fatal errors (the kind where you think all data has been lost).
TONIGHT: a final on the sociology of deviance, which is the stuff of a devout mormon's nightmare (it's funny that i can make jokes like that now that i have all of these mormon lovers/friends [another thought within a thought: isn't that a snoop dogg song?]).
IN THE NEAR FUTURE: i need to sell my coachella ticket SOON. if i'm stuck with a $100 ticket for a show i can't go to, i'm going to think about crying to myself to sleep for days. because i can't actually cry.
OTHER NEWS:
that's all the rambling i've got for now. my posts just keep getting longer and longer.
K BAI*!
*i think i need to stop using lolspeak before someone thinks i'm truly terrible with grammar (because i'm not).

OTHER NEWS:
- brent #2 is helping me find another bike to replace brent #1's/"my" fixed vintage peugeot that got stolen. he's been talking to his bike friends and said he may have found a nice $350-$400 one. but am i gonna be riding that often to justify spending that much?
- i thought i could stand talking to evan again so i added his SN to my buddy list (wow, what am i, in high school?). he wouldn't stop talking to me, so i had to take him off of it (my list blocks everyone that isn't a friend). and that's the end of that. but then again, i always think that and it never is. for him, at least.
- i drove to irvine early today to eat lunch with my buddy peter and ran into steve. i don't know how he managed it, but he looks even worse than he did last quarter. i don't know what's happening to him, but i can honestly say i'm glad i "knew him" back when he had everything together. "call me; let's get together and have lunch sometime." but we say that every time.
- i've been looking everywhere (i.e. superfuture, hypebeast [ugh]) to find someone to trade my supreme kermit shirt. the closest person i've found is in LA,
so i might be driving 45 miles pretty soon just to trade a black shirt for a white one. just kidding! he's gonna drive to me. awesome. i also might be breaking some guy in NY's heart but i apologized in advance because i'm paranoid something will go wrong and i'll get scammed.
that's all the rambling i've got for now. my posts just keep getting longer and longer.

i hate time changes.
i'm not sure why i made this in the first place, but i think it's because melissa is the only person who will listen to my rambling in its entirety. probably because she's going to be a therapist and that's basically what they have to do. maybe i'll be her first real patient. wouldn't that be a conflict of interest or something else unethical?
anyway, in other uninteresting news, i think i almost just took my own screen name and made it unavailable when i tried to choose a URL. hahaha only me.
if i go to bed at 4AM one more time, i'm going to be so upset.
my right arm just started hurting. am i having a heart attack? it sure feels like it.
edit: okay, really? as i pushed the "publish post" button, there was a big red bar that screamed, "ERROR!!!" at me. WHAT HAVE I DONE THIS TIME, YOU STUPID BLOGSPOT? i hate this thing already.
edit #2, which is the more interesting part of this post: a polaroid of me might end up in some british magazine. we'll see. i guess i also have to email the editor so they can send a copy my way when it comes to print. their words, not mine.
why does weird stuff always happen to me at work? oh wait, duh; it's like i'm asking for it (which is a very common defense for violent criminals, by the way...)
time to go to bed (an hour later, please refer to title) and wake up to slave again. i'm so sick of this job, but i need to at least stick around long enough to get my stock options. 2 years with nothing to show for it? i deserve this!
okay, this isn't even conscious rambling anymore; it's veered into babbling regions, except babel doesn't exist anymore.
